Wobble Broach ID on a CNC Lathe
Rotary or Wobble Broaching is done on a CNC lathe.
What is Broaching in machining terms? It is a very efficient way to cut internal shapes in parts during the same machine cycle that finishes the part. In the image below a hexagon is shown broached out of the part, but the inside can also be a broached square, or be broached as a spline , or virtually any customized shape.
